It occurs on page 297 in my edition. Mary and Laura are both working on quilts - Mary a nine-patch block one and Laura a Bear's Track quilt. Laura's was harder to make then Mary's due to the bias seams, so she kept having to resew them. And these quilts are part of what kept them occupied during the run of blizzards that happened - they were stuck in the house for much of the time and needed something to keep them busy. This is from the chapter ‘Prairie Winter’ in the book ‘On the Banks of Plum Creek’. It occurs on page 297 in my edition.
