YIPEE!
Little House on the Prairie; Indians in the house; Laura and Mary are outside trying to console Jack as he's been chained to the stable. Two Indians appear and have gone into the house with Ma and Carrie. Laura summons her courage and is running to help Ma when this quote occurs.
This is the first instance of Indians coming in the house. Laura had almost unchained Jack and later when she tells Pa this, you can almost feel his fear of what could've happened if she had.
I always wondered what the Indians said as Laura hid behind the lumber and is caught sneeking a look at them, what their impressions were. And I could just imagine Laura's heart beating furiously with fear at being caught!
