Be on the lookout tonight and you just might spot a little Laura Ingalls running about in your neighborhood. Watch for the braids… the prairie dress… the sunbonnet hanging down the back… and perhaps, just perhaps, they might hold out a tin pail instead of a pumpkin for you to fill with candy.

And I must say that I’ve never seen a cuter little Laura in all my life! We got so many compliments all night long, and while some were vague “Look at the prairie girl!” or “Look at the pioneer girl!” (and even one “Look at the little pilgrim!”), many people knew exactly who she was and most of them actually said that they loved the books.
And it was HER choice to be Laura, which made me happy. She waffled for awhile between Laura and Princess Leia, but Laura won in the end.
Laura vs. Leia! And Laura won out. Imagine!
