Do you remember my post a few weeks back about snow storms in October?
Well, after an unseasonably warm and sunny November, it appears our Minnesota winter will arrive tomorrow–with a vengeance. The forecast calls for 5 to 8 inches of snow with winds reaching 45 miles per hour.
I wonder if I’ll be able to see across the street?
I’ll have my lamp in the window, my wheat bread baking, and a pot of bean soup gently simmering all day as the weather hits.
Oh, and a pile of grading. ‘Tis the season, after all, for us in academia.
But I think, if I can get ahead enough, I’ll open up On the Banks of Plum Creek, and read about the three-day blizzard just before Christmas that kept Pa buried in a snow drift. And count my blessings that weather forecasting today involves radar.
