I gave her my design quilt piece of Laura with her doll, Charlotte. It was special to see Melissa so close. She had a very sore throat & wasn't to talk, but she whispered that she had been in Pepin, WI. Fortunately, we could see her inspiring play that Tues night, but she wasn't able to act on Wed or Th. eve's. We were lucky to see her on Tues! All people have to do is hear its name, and they say, "Oh, Little House on the Prairie!! I want to see that!!!" Our Laura plus Melissa Gilbert is the combination that has made ticket sales soar despite negative reviews. It's nice to know that she's rallying for the Broadway run, and making a point of publicizing that that's her goal. She's a shrewd businesswoman when it comes to entertainment, it seems.
