Kara Lindsay, “Laura” in Little House: The Musical, has taken a leave of absence from the production. She’ll return in Spokane on April 8.
As of now, I’ve been unable to find information on why she left, and I would rather not speculate publicly. Whatever her circumstances, our best wishes go out to her until her return.
In the meantime, the role of Laura will be played by the understudy, Megan Campanile.
Megan Campanile was performing as Laura the day I saw the show in St. Paul, and she was great. If I hadn’t seen the notice I wouldn’t have had any idea she was the understudy.
I saw Megan Campanile in Toronto and she was great. I thought she did an excellent job playing Laura. I haven’t seen Kara but Megan was great. I also thought that Kevin Massey (Almanzo) did an excellent job too.
