Spring has sprung, and we’re just in time — the winter 2010-2011 issue of the Homesteader is done and mailed. Subscribers should have received it in their mailboxes last week. It was delayed because of the special LauraPalooza issue, but I promise it is worth the wait.
Here’s what readers are finding in this issue:
- An extensive interview with meteorologist and LauraPalooza 2010 speaker Barbara Mayes Boustead (look how cute she is on the cover!)
- A feature on last fall’s groundbreaking Laura Ingalls Wilder exhibit in Michigan, plus photos
- A little something about a buffalo wallow on Ingalls Homestead …
- An introduction to the new historical director, Michelle Martin, in Independence and what to expect from the site in the next few years
- A collection of Little House happenings across the country
