All Laura Ingalls Wilder Legacy and Research Association (LIWLRA) Charter Memberships will expire July 1, 2011. While you will retain Charter status, you will need to renew to remain current members. Thank you to everyone who joined. We ended up with 164 Charter Members. We hope that you will all renew. However, even if you missed out on being a Charter Member you can still join and we hope you do.
Previously our only membership benefits were a lovely membership card and 10 percent off of LIWLRA products (including conference registration). Another LIWLRA product, a brand new Laurapalooza design T-shirt, will be released in late summer. Those benefits continue, but the board has been working on adding benefits.
- Members who have joined or renewed before January 1, 2012 will be able to register for Laurapalooza 2012 during a two week early bird registration period before non-members will be allowed to register.
- A Member Only message board will soon be unveiled on the Beyond Little House site. Members will be able to e-mail us a message relating to Laura and we’ll post it on the board. Only members will be allowed to post messages on this board. Anyone can read it. We’re expecting messages like “I’m looking for a copy of Mansfield: Then & Now” or “I want to sell a blue paperback box set” or “Happy Birthday to my Laura friend Laura.”
- Looking ahead to the next conference, we’ll be adding a member event still in the planning stages and a couple of ways to recognize members at the conference.
However, most important all the membership dues we get go to supporting the Laurapalooza conference, the Beyond Little House website, and eventually other Laura related projects.

When I click on the form link, I get asked for a password?
I am having the same problem as LauriOH.
Same here! I thought I signed up before, but never got an invoice to pay. I’d like to be a charter member.
My apologies. I had checked before I published and the password wasn’t there, but it must have been because I was on a computer where I’d been onto the page before. We’ll get that corrected as soon as possible.

If you want a continued membership, yes, you need to renew all charter memberships expire July 1, 2011.
