Late registration has now officially closed, so now we open up things for the people who want to just attend part of the LauraPalooza event.
Friday the 13th is going to be anything but unlucky for fans of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Little House on the Prairie the TV show when Alison Arngrim (the girl everyone loved to hate, Nellie Oleson on the long running NBC Series) comes to Mankato, Minnesota. Arngrim will be putting on her one woman show Confessions of a Prairie Bitch, Friday, July 13, 2012 at 7 pm. Normally the title is indicative of some of the material covered as Arngrim was sexually abused as a child (as detailed in her outstanding book of the same name – available signed at the Walnut Grove gift shop if you can’t make Mankato). However our version is going to be just a little tamer than normal so this really is a unique opportunity to hear the low down on life in the Little House in Simi Valley (where the series was extensively shot) and how wearing Nellie’s curls has impacted the rest of her life. Want a taste? Listen to a recent radio interview with Arngrim and our own Amy Lauters.
The play is a stand alone event and while most of the conference attendees will be there, the general public is encouraged to come. Individual tickets are now available for $25 each. Seating will be festival style (no reserved seats). Tickets will not be mailed, but will be available for pick up the night of the performance at a will call window.
If you want to purchase tickets, please e-mail email@example.com Please include how many tickets you want and the e-mail address you’d like the PayPal invoice sent to if different from the one you use for e-mail.
We really want to sell out the house, so please spread the word to all your friends in the general area who love the TV show or just a really good one woman show, we’ve heard great things about it.
IMPORTANT: Arngrim’s show is the only event that will be available as a stand alone ticket. Now the registration is closed, you can still chose to attend any single day of the conference for $50 (meals not included). If you want to attend something else in particular say the Pa’s Fiddle showing or Barbara Walker’s speech or the Author Reception, you’d need to purchase a pass for the full day. Get them at the registration table each day, no prior purchase.
