The Homesteader is the only publication of its kind about Laura Ingalls Wilder. Created by Laura fans, for Laura fans, the Homesteader is printed twice a year and mailed to subscribers all over the world.
The Homesteader was conceived in the summer of 2002 out of a direct desire to support the homesites of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Little House fans needed a place to turn on an ongoing basis for something new and fresh and engaging, yet fully Laura.
Each and every one of her homesites is represented and celebrated, and no subject is off limits. From clothes in the Farmer Boy era to lodging in “Little House” towns to a doctor’s medical analysis of Mary’s actual affliction, if Laura fans are interested in it, the Homesteader will cover it.
