Laura… a blogger?

I am an avid reader of numerous blogs.  I follow all Little House blogs, of course, because Little House is my passion and I want to read everything people have to say about it.  But outside of that, the blogs I like most to follow are those that begin with the telling of a personal happening — an event from the blogger’s day, something cute their child said, a dialogue they overheard — and turn it into a moral lesson.

One of the most interesting bloggers I know is a lady named Mrs. A.J. Wilder.  Only she doesn’t blog on the internet in 2009 (yet!). She was a columnist for the Missouri Ruralist during the nineteen teens and twenties.  Many of her articles read like a blog entry, though.  They relate a conversation she had with a friend, or a happening on the farm, or a story from her childhood.  She then neatly ties together the story into a moral lesson.

She imparts such wisdom that to live by her teachings would surely improve one’s relationships, one’s character, one’s life. And thus, we at Beyond Little House have invited Mrs. A.J. Wilder, better known as Laura Ingalls Wilder, to contribute to this blog. We trust that her words of wisdom will bless you each Sunday.
