Video Diary Day 3 – Part 4
This is the end of Day 3. Look for Day 4 to start soon. I’m sorry that I have so little of the Author’s Panel. I must have hit the wrong button because I thought I had more than this. That’s pretty much all I have.

Here is the third installment for Day 3. Part 4 should complete Day 3 and then on to Day 4. Earlier in the week I promised to show you Jean who designed the quilt block that they used on the LIW Days (Pepin) Tee shirt that I wore. You see her in this clip. If you’re wondering why Kitty, Andrea, and I start laughing when I say what a good speaker they have for Laura Days is that Kitty and I have been doing it for several years now.

Includes Kitty Latane and the Pepin contingent, Jean Elfson who designed the quilt square, Barbara Mays Boustead – Laura’s Long Winter, Lynn Urban, and Dale Cockerell.

P.S. While I was waiting to finish processing Melissa Gilbert tweeted “Came through with flying colors. Thank you all for your prayers and loving thoughts.” So her back surgery was a success.

In case anyone doesn’t know, Harvey Dunn is the nephew of Nate Dow aka Grace Ingalls’s husband. He was from Manchester, South Dakota which is the next town down the line from De Smet. It was destroyed by a tornado that made the cover of “National Geographic” and was featured on “Nova” (Hunt for the SuperTwister” ).
Features author/illustrator Cheryl Harness, John E. Miller, Jenna Hunnef – What is at Stake at Staking a Claim?, Jim Hicks – Long Winter Seed Wheat Trip, and Harvey Dunn Plein Aire Event.

I just wanted to thank everybody who has said nice things about the videos so far. (Keep it up – it was more work than I thought it would be. ;-p) Anyway, I was doing pretty well until I had so much for Thurs. and then we had night activities at the conference Thurs., Fri., and Sat. and I had no Internet Access Saturday or Sunday and I spent yesterday unpacking. So the upshot is look for the rest of the videos starting hopefully tonight.
There is something I have to check on in what should be the next video and something else in one for the day after that, but rather than wait for definite OK on what I want to include, I’m just going to go ahead and post the ones I’m not waiting on word about. That means the will be a couple out of order, but at this point I think it’s more important to get them up. I’ll do a post of links in the proper order when I get done.
Thank you for watching with me!
I have one more “And One More on the Way” post I really want to include and that will probably be it for right now, but look for the series to return another time. (Tell me if you’d like it to.) I hope people enjoyed them and I’ve heard that at least 2 people actually added a stop to their route so I think they were a success.

Hear John Miller and Pamela Smith Hill on MPR Thursday morning — and if you didn’t attend Laurapalooza, here’s a mini-dose of it you can get at home.
Great discussion!
Day 3 also included a presentation of a special award.
William T. Anderson Legacy Award Part 1
William T. Anderson was presented with an award. Sorry I slowed my pace getting these posted, but I’ve got the footage. If I don’t get anything posted by noon tomorrow, it will probably be Sunday night. Don’t worry I have the footage all saved, but I’m going to the pageant tomorrow and don’t hold out much hope for wireless in Walnut Grove.

A lot of folks have been writing in about today’s events at LauraPalooza, particularly the Dean Butler presentation. At this time everything has been sold out. Catch us next time!
Here’s a LauraPalooza attendee’s report from the front lines.
This will be a multiple part day. I’ve got part 1 up now and the rest will follow when they can, but rest assured they are coming.
